China Today (formerly China Reconstructs), an illustrated general-interest monthly, was launched in January 1952 by Soong Ching-Ling (Mme.Sun Yat-sen), the late Honorary President of the People's Republic of China.

The English edition of China Today reports on China's economic, social and cultural development of China Its Special Report is on the most topical current issues, and Society/Life features are about ordinary Chinese people's lives. The Tourism column is a China travel guide, and a window on its fantastic landscapes and splendid culture.
