The glorious cause of Mme. Soong Ching Ling promotes the improvement of the society and the happiness of the human being; promotes the mutual understanding and friendship of different people from different countries. The name of Mme. Soong Ching Ling and her achievements will be admired by Italian overseas Chinese and also the peace-loving Italian people.

We, Italian Soong Ching Ling Foundation established by all circles of people who respect Mme. Soong Ching Ling, concern for the welfare of women and children’s cause and care for the cause of exchange and charity between Italy and China. It was registered as a non-profit nongovernmental organization on Jan 20th 2004, in Italy.

The establishment of Italian Soong Ching Ling Foundation reflected the deep love of Italian overseas Chinese to Mme. Soong, one of the greatest women in China, Honorary Chairman of P. R.C. also the agreement and inheriting of her great spirit of devoting whole life to the cause of women and children. The purpose of Italian Soong Ching Ling Foundation is to care for women and children; to maintain the peace of the whole world; to promote the improvement of human being; to put forth effort to carry on the cause of maternity and child health care and children’s science, culture and education; to enhance the mutual understanding and friendship between two countries.

Italian Soong Ching Ling Foundation will follow the entrust of Mme. Soong Ching Ling of “Molding the Future”; develop the sacred cause of Mme. Soong Ching Ling; do its work best in Italy, face to the world; contact with friendly personages and organizations abroad to promote welfare affairs.

Italian Soong Ching Ling Foundation will bring its particular efforts into full play and make the Foundation be an important stage for diplomatic activities of the two countries.

China and Europe are the origin places of oriental and western culture, have the glorious and splendid history and nationalities. These are our entire common valuable wealthy, we will focus on the communication, cooperation between the two cultures, and also we will assimilate the great achievements of modern cultures; art creations and media technologies. We hope that through various kinds of exchange activities from people to people, the civilization of our two countries must be more splendid. We will have talks, communications and cooperations through different channels by all levels and try to make the cultures of two countries be the magnificent part of world culture treasures.

During the Chinese Culture Festival of 2006, our Foundation will host a world-wide Children’s Summer Camp. It has been supported by the governments of Rome and Vines. Also, in the year of 2006, we plan to organize a tour exhibition of Chinese Folk Arts and a picture exhibition of Mme. Soong Ching Ling.

Before long, Italy Soong Ching Ling Foundation introduced the famous club—Ferrari to Shanghai, cooperated with Italy-China Exchange Association. Ferrari, a global famous brand including science, sports, fashion and leisure, made a myth during the process of its development of hundred years. We will strengthen the cooperation with Ferrari Club, carry on its social spirit, launch the charity activities and improve the charity consciousness of the wealthy stratum.

Meanwhile, our Foundation has signed the cooperation contract with “Italian Little Angle Foundation”, from the year of 2006, to donate the tuition to Chinese children who are unable to go to school at the rate of increasing 100 children a year; try to achieve to the goal of donating 1000 children each year.

We hope that through our great efforts, let the spirit of Mme. Soong Ching Ling be carried forward in Italy; let the world more harmonious and more beautiful!
