Brian F. Mullaney

  Brian F. Mullaney, born on May 5. 1959, a national of United States of America, is the President of International “Smile Train”.
   “Smile Train” is an international children’s charity and a medical treatment organization. Through providing free surgery, training the local doctors, research treatment and preventing the cleft palate, it helps millions of children that suffered from cleft palate all over the world, and to be the most “low cost and high efficiency” organization in the world. Brian was one of the original Founders who came up with the idea, the name and most importantly, the strategy of empowering local doctors in developing countries to threat their own children.
   Brian has been involved with children’s reconstructive surgery charities for more than 12 years and 1992 he founded Operations Smile that provides free surgery for indigent American children. He has been working on the Smile Train since 1997. Brian assumed the role of President in July 2001, he is responsible for all Smile Train operations worldwide. With Smile Train partners in 55 countries, as a result of Brian efforts, in just over 5 years, the Smile Train has provided free surgery to more than 110,000 children throughout the world.
   Since 1999, with the cooperation of international Smile Train, Chinese Charity Institute has carried out the project of “Smile Train” in China. Up till now, it set up 108 pointing hospitals in 30 provinces and autonomous regions; provided free surgery to more than 60,000 children and let them lead a new life; trained more than 2000 medical workers.
   The project of “Smile Train” has become one of the biggest public welfare treatments in China.
