On Dec. 23,2003, the representative of Shanghai Soong ching Ling Foundation came to Wen Chang city Hainan province to issue the "Deng Wen Zhao Teacher's Award" .70 excellent teachers from kindergarten, primary and middle schools got this award.Mr Lu Shi Qiang, the vice mayor of he city attended the ceremony and made a speech. Deng Wen Zhao Teacher's Award was set up by Mr. Deng Guang Yin, the son of Deng Wen Zhao in order to encourage the excellent kindergarten, primary and middle school teachers who dedicate to the education in the impoverished areas. There are 210 teachers getting this award since 1999.
